Position Details

• Job Status: Full-time
• Career Level: 3-5 years of experience
• Minimum Education: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
• Supervisor: Chief Financial Officer
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
• Pay Type: Hourly - compensation based on experience and performance.

• Job Location: Yarmouth Boat Yard, Yarmouth, Maine – but work is for all entities - Moose Landing, Yarmouth Boat Yard, Maine Boating Academy, Freedom Boat Club of Maine, and Sea Tow Portland/Midcoast. This is not a remote position.

Duties

• Assist accountants with year-end and tax prep

• Post all transactions and reconcile all bank accounts monthly across all platforms

• Maintain and reconcile floorplan accounts

• Oversee Accounts Receivable

• Oversee Accounts Payable

• Prepare outside reporting as assigned

• Process all daily rental reconciliations in the season

• Maintain and monitor the accuracy of the general ledger

• Other office duties as assigned

Requirements

• Three - five (3-5) or more years of experience working in accounting or related experience

• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional verbal and written communication competency

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action

• Maintain professional working relationships with all employees, associates, vendors, etc.

• Maintain confidentiality with all company information

• Must understand and follow company policies and procedures with high attention to detail

• Must be flexible in adjusting to new or changing situations and addition of duties

• Background check required

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, QuickBooks

• Ability to learn Lightspeed Evo, our marina management platform
